Internet Bridge between the USA and Ukraine

Prevention Center, “Choice” in cooperation with the Boys and Girls’s Clubs in America in Milford, NH, conducted an Internet Bridge between children and prevention specialists from New Hampshire and Ukraine. The theme of the Zoom meeting was “Risky behavior prevention”.

New Hampshire was represented by adolescents attending the BGCA in Milford. They were supported by Monica Gallant, Director of Prevention Services, and Richard Lowney, the President of the BGCA in NH.

Ukraine was represented by children and specialists from Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv and Odesa regions, including:

  • Khmenlnytskyi Region, Kam’ianets Podilskyi – students taking part in the Prevention Program, CHOICE-5 in Kamianets Podilskyi Lyceum #7 as well their class teacher, Natali, and CHOICE-5 trainer, Oksana Bohomolova.
  • Chernihiv Region, Chernihiv – CHOICE-5 trainers Larysa Ren, Head of Social Chair of National University “Chernihiv Collegium and Diana Zakatova, University junior.
  • Odesa Region, Artsyz – CHOICE-5 trainer Anastasia Arabadgi, a tenth grader of the Lyceum #5.

Each side asked and responded three questions related with prevention activities at their homes. All Ukrainian participants expressed their sincere appreciation for the support Ukraine has been receiving from the USA in fighting Russian aggression.

The project, “Evidence Based Prevention for Children of Ukraine” is being implemented by the #Prevention_Center_CHOICE and supported by the Institute of International Education, the USA.
